OUR OBJECTIVE
An accident or incident can impact on a person’s physical-, cognitive- and / or emotional functioning, depending on the injuries sustained and the sequelae thereof; with such negatively impacting on that person’s ability to secure and/or sustain employment; or to progress in their chosen career.
To assist in quantifying the claim, we follow a comprehensive process integrating relevant employment and remuneration related documentation, conducting a semi-structured one-on-one interview with your client, performing of psychometric assessments (if relevant), gathering of collateral information from the employer(s), integrating medical- / therapeutic- and / or other expert opinions and using relevant earnings resources including formal remuneration surveys.
Our reports aim to provide a concise indication of your client’s unique background, injuries sustained and residual sequelae in order to objectively postulate pre- and post-morbid career progression scenarios, as well as to provide recommendations with regard to past loss of earnings as well as future loss of earnings / earnings capacity.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Monica Botha (Industrial Psychologist): I started my career as intern at the practice i.e. ‘Schoombee, Wessels & Associates Industrial Psychologists’ in 2007, doing psychometric assessments and earnings related research for different psycho-legal claims. After I attained my Masters Degree (Industrial- and Organizational Psychology) and passed the board examination, I registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist (Independent Practice) as of July 2011. I was subsequently made an Associate at ‘Schoombee, Wessels & Associates Industrial Psychologists’.
In 2016 ‘Schoombee, Wessels & Associates Industrial Psychologists’ was dismantled, with all the Industrial Psychologists heading up their own private practices. Hence my practice ‘Monica Botha Industrial Psychologist Inc.’ was established.
Apart from being registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as well as the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa (SIOPSA), I am also 100% CPD compliant.
Marina Brand is our Office Manager, and a key member of the team, making appointments and ensuring effective communication and administration. Realising that some clients have mobility difficulties, special requirements, leave issues, etcetera; she will assist in booking appointments suited to your client’s needs.
